Evaluation of Neurotoxicity & Material safety via C. elegans phenotyping Using Ultrasound Induced Release of Bioactive Compounds from Polymeric Microbubbles
Polymeric micro- and nanobubbles with ultrasound-responsive mechanophores are engineered for targeted delivery of bioactive molecules. Their effects are evaluated in C. elegans using high-throughput liquid culture in 96-well plates. Locomotor responses are tracked via a semi-automatic video system to assess bubble integrity, degradation products, and neuronal function. This method advances biocompatible sonogenetic delivery systems.
