D1: Outreach Activities

In addition to the case study C1, the young academics and researchers involved in the research alliance are supported through further measures in the communication of their scientific knowledge. This takes place continuously within the framework of the research alliance and the doctoral projects.

D1.1 Development of Innovative Formats for Science Outreach

A modular system of formats to be used by researchers for different events and different target groups is being developed. The aim is to provide a module that can be used for all subject areas and for all researchers of the research network for different activities. To this end, the three institutes of the alliance (IWM, IPN, DM) that deal with science communication will use their background knowledge of proven and new approaches. The modules and formats will be used by the partners for events.

D1.2 Workshop “Science Communication for Young Researchers”

The workshop is aimed specifically at the PhD students of the research network. During the training, which lasts several days, the theoretical basics of science communication are taught, the toolkits are presented and the respective modules will be tested on visitors to the Deutsches Museum.
